For groups wanting an exciting and relationship-building outdoor activity, we have an on-site low ropes course. The equipment lends itself to a wide variety of challenging and exciting games and activities, which both young people and adults really enjoy.
Great for team building, fostering communication skills and trust exercises, a well-structured session benefits all ages, and is very good fun!
The Low ropes area is behind the Chapel cabin at the top of the site, in a wooded area, out of easy view from the rest of the camp. The ‘landing area’ is surrounded by soft bark floor covering.
Note: to use the course, your group must have a suitably qualified instructor or sign a disclaimer. If you don’t have an instructor in your party, Great Wood may be able to recommend one from Somerset County Council Education Department at a reasonable hourly fee of around £25-£30. Please contact us well in advance of your visit to discuss your requirements.
