Nick currently works as an Educational Consultant, and supporting Headteachers, having had a career in teaching, including 14 years as Headmaster of a large 3-18 independent school in East Anglia.
He first went to Great Wood in 1995 when a friend persuaded him to help lead a camp, as they needed some musicians (he plays guitar). His church life had previously been very traditional and he had his first encounter at Great Wood with contemporary worship music and evangelical Christianity, which had a profound effect on him.
Nick became closer to God in his faith and now enjoys worshipping across the whole spectrum from Cathedral Evensong to electric guitars. Great Wood remains a special place to him. He says the Lord’s presence always feels close there, especially in his favourite place of all, the open air ‘chapel’ in the woods.
