What can one say about the Work Party? We take over the site for the Easter weekend and our aim is to leave the site looking better than we found it. From cutting back the undergrowth to painting walls and window frames: from applying wood preserver to the cabins to repairing and re-building what has been damaged over the winter – the Work Party will tackle it.
If you have ever sat in the sunshine at one of the picnic tables – you are sitting at something that the Work Party made. If you have enjoyed a reflective time in the chapel – the rhododendrons have been (for the most part) tamed by the Work Party.
But don’t be fooled by the name! There is work a-plenty but also a great deal of fun, laughter and fellowship to be had whether the sun is shining or the rain is coming down as it can in Somerset!
We are always looking for new people to come and join the team and whether you feel you have immense skills or none at all, there will be a warm welcome for you at this most special place.
Please do consider joining us. You can contact David Whitehouse at firstname.lastname@example.org – I look forward to hearing from you.
